New hotel
A special donut for Bregenz city center
A new place to stay in Bregenz: the building application for the "Römerpark" project is imminent. A hotel with 60 apartments is set to open in 2026.
A new property is being built at the entrance to Bregenz city center, in the immediate vicinity of the Vorarlberger Landhaus. The project, called "Römerpark", is being operated by Projektart Immobilien GmbH. "With this property, we have planned a property in the middle of the green park of Villa Schwerzenbach, which will house an apart-hotel with a rooftop bar in the future," says Projektart Managing Director Roland Pircher. 60 apartments are to be realized. Construction will take place on a plot of around 5700 square meters.
Flexible use
The hotel is being planned by the renowned local architects marte.marte. A block partly built into the slope is to be framed by a delicate black-brown metal façade in the shape of a donut. "With the relief-like verandas, the green roofs and the continuation of the park, another very high-quality location is being created in the urban fabric of Bregenz," explained the architects.
What is special about the hotel is that the apartments are planned in such a way that they can also be used as offices or apartments (with a size of 28 or 40 square meters). "From the outset, we placed great emphasis on flexible use that takes into account all eventualities over the next 99 years," Roland Pircher explains.
Planning permission is expected to be granted as early as next fall.
