Vinicius JR with mega six-pack in the gym after promotion
Resting? Doesn't seem to exist in Vinicius Junior's life. Just hours after Real Madrid's Champions League triumph over Manchester City, the Brazilian striker posted from the gym again - with a sheer mega six-pack.
It's almost tempting to wonder whether an artificial intelligence is stroking his cell phone in selfie mode, as perfectly chiseled as the young man's abs look. But it's probably Vinicius Junior himself, beaming with joy and waving the "Victory" sign. Just a few hours after the final whistle of the game in Manchester against City (victory and promotion after a penalty shoot-out), he was already posing in the gym again. I wonder if he was working on his abs?
Defensive battle
Vini also has every reason to smile after winning a dramatic match against Man City. Real Madrid had knocked the defending champions out of the competition with a successful defensive battle plus penalty thriller. As in the 2022 semi-final, which was narrowly lost, the English despaired at the Spaniards' coolness. "It was one of those magical nights you dream of as a child," said Real captain Nacho.
His team, for whom ÖFB star David Alaba, who was still injured, could only keep his fingers crossed from afar via TV, had to suffer for more than 120 minutes. 120:19 attacks, 34:8 shots, 18:1 corners and 64:36 percent possession speak for themselves when it comes to the Citizens' superiority. In the end, Kevin de Bruyne's equalizer (76') to cancel out Rodrygo's early opener (12') was the home side's only score before the penalty shoot-out.
And now FC Bayern await in the semi-finals. "ViniJR" will need his hard-earned fitness again.
