Gwyneth Paltrow:
“If people knew that, they’d be shocked”
Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow has said that she gave up many roles to raise her children.
"I mean, it's funny because it didn't feel like a sacrifice to me at the time," the 51-year-old, who has a 19-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son with Coldplay singer Chris Martin (47), her ex-husband, explained on the US talk show "Today with Hoda & Jenna".
People would be "pretty shocked"
"But when I look back on it through a cultural lens, I think, wow, if people knew I didn't do this movie or that movie, they'd be pretty shocked."
When asked by the presenter about these films, Paltrow laughingly said that she would "never" reveal them.
The actress told People magazine last November that she had retired from acting after the birth of her daughter. "Everything has redefined itself for me."
