When the Iranian mullah regime fired 300 drones and missiles at Israel at the weekend, drones were intercepted by the Jordanian Royal Air Force. According to rumors, Princess Salma of Jordan was also involved.

Rumors are circulating on Twitter that the 23-year-old daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, who is a trained fighter pilot, flew missions and shot down five to six drones. Although an official statement is still pending, it is considered unlikely that she herself was on a mission against the Iranian drones.

However, it would not be entirely impossible: in December 2023, it was revealed that one of her first missions was to fly aid supplies to a hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Sandhurst graduate
The Princess successfully completed her studies at the prestigious Sandhurst Military Academy in England in 2018, earning the coveted rank of second lieutenant.

Her training at this traditional institution, also known as the "Prince's Forge" for royal offspring, laid the foundation for her military career.

Two years later, in 2020, she crowned her efforts by becoming the first female fighter pilot in the ranks of the Jordanian army - at the age of just 19.

The heir to the British throne, Crown Prince William (41) and Prince Harry (39) are also graduates of this prestigious institution. William and his wife Princess Kate are also considered close friends of the Jordanian royal family and have already spent secret vacations in Jordan.

After her military training, Princess Salma moved to California, where she successfully completed her bachelor's degree at the prestigious USC University in September 2023.

Crown Prince becomes a father
The Jordanian royal couple have a total of four children: Crown Prince Hussein (29), Princess Iman (27), Princess Salma and Prince Hashem bin Abdullah (19).

Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, who married Radjwa al-Saif in May 2023, will become a father for the first time this year. The Royal Hashemite Court announced the happy news at the beginning of April that Princess Rajwa is pregnant.
