The basic round of the North American basketball league NBA came to an end on Sunday (local time). The Orlando Magic won 113:88 against the Milwaukee Bucks and finished the main round in fifth place in the Eastern Conference despite three defeats in a row. They will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the play-offs. The Indiana Pacers finished sixth and will face the Bucks in the play-offs.

Thanks to a 125-106 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Phoenix Suns overtook the New Orleans Pelicans, who slipped to seventh place after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers. The New Yorkers must therefore go into the play-in starting on Tuesday, where they will once again face the team led by superstar LeBron James.

OKC ahead of the Nuggets
The Boston Celtics secured victory in the East, with the New York Knicks in second place, followed by the Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers. In the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder triumphed ahead of the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the LA Clippers. The Dallas Mavericks follow in fifth place. The first and second-placed teams in each conference meet the play-in winners in the play-off.
