Elderly female driver sustained serious injuries

Around midday on Saturday, two vehicles collided in Hörbranz. A 79-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and had to be taken to Bregenz Regional Hospital.

At around 12.35 p.m., a 41-year-old German was driving his car on Salvatorstrasse in Hörbranz in the direction of Allgäustrasse (L1). When he drove onto the priority road, he probably overlooked the car of a 79-year-old local woman - she was unable to brake in time and a collision occurred.

The crash had serious consequences for the elderly lady, who suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to Bregenz Regional Hospital by ambulance. However, the 41-year-old and his co-driver were unharmed. Both vehicles are likely to be classified as total losses.
