Bürgler wins gold at state championships

This is how the season can end! After a successful few months, Viktoria Bürgler once again showed her mettle and won the gold medal at the state championships on the Reiteralm. The Dienten native is overjoyed with her success.

Two silver medals at the Junior World Ski Championships in France, plus her World Cup debut at the beginning of March in Are, Sweden. Viktoria Bürgler has had the most successful season of her young career so far this year. The 20-year-old (SC Dienten) put the perfect end to the past few months on Friday. She won the gold medal in the giant slalom at the national championships!

"Difficult conditions"
Bürgler had already taken the lead after the first run and brought her advantage to the finish. This was 15 hundredths on Katharina Truppe, Katharina Liensberger came third (+0.35 seconds). "I'm really happy to celebrate such a cool finish in my favorite discipline. The conditions were difficult, but the organizers deserve a lot of praise for getting the run in so well," Bürgler beamed.
