The infamous press teaching is about to begin. None other than "newstime" anchorwoman Claudia von Brauchitsch has traveled to Los Angeles to give the top model candidates a thorough going over. It was inevitable that some interviews would end in tears or heated arguments.

Some interviews ended in emotional breakdowns. Trans woman Nuri, for example, struggled to hold back tears during the interview. While candidate Stella spoke of her happy family life in her presence, Nuri's past looked less rosy, as she hardly knew her father and generally has a bad relationship with her parents.

The twins, Lukas and Julian, were also put through the wringer by the presenter. "The twins story is over at some point!" said von Brauchitsch.

Dominic causes a stir during the interview
Top model candidate Dominic also seemed to have a hard time during the interview. His excitement caused him to spill the beans and reveal explosive details about his fellow contestants. The nervous Dominic also started an argument with fellow model Aldin - probably by mistake. "What's the difference between your idea and Aldin's?" von Brauchitsch asked Dominic and Maximilian after the three had introduced themselves individually.

"I think Aldin pays a lot of attention to perfection. He pays a lot of attention to himself, which is not a problem, but I think he could concentrate a bit more on himself," Dominic began, but then got tangled up in his own thoughts, so that von Brauchitsch said: "I didn't understand what you just told me, Dominic." Aldin took offense at Dominic's slip and didn't want to speak to his colleague after the interview.

Catwalk teaching and a hot shoot
After the press training, there was a lesson in catwalking - from fashion designer Killian Kerner himself. He had some harsh criticism for some of them.

The top model candidates also had to impress at the subsequent "Tiny Tokyo" photo shoot. In front of the lens of star photographer Yu Tsai, the mission was to deliver perfect shots in a team of two - and all in just five minutes. The models posed for the photographer in hot outfits.

With Nuri, Stella, Jana, Felix, Dominik and Yusupha, six candidates had to tremble to get through. "Rarely have so many models failed to convince me at a shoot," said Heidi Klum. But she didn't want to send them all home straight away. That's why there will be another task in the coming week.

Photographer Yu Tsai announced: "You were terrible. Heidi takes her time and looks at every photo again. She looks at your potential and your performance. She expects you to take part in a catwalk challenge." This means that the Wackel candidates will have to compete against each other again next week.
