Top club gets serious
Salzburg pro moving for a bargain price?
Oumar Solet was already heavily linked with a move to Serie A last year - and now a top Serie A club is getting serious: Inter Milan have the Salzburg defender on their radar as a potential bargain.
As the "Gazzetta dello Sport" reports, Inter Milan have an absolute dream player for their central defense: Atletico's Mario Hermoso. However, Napoli, Aston Villa, Newcastle and clubs from Saudi Arabia are also interested in the 28-year-old Spaniard. Oumar Solet is now (once again) the focus of attention.
The 24-year-old Frenchman was already linked with the current Serie A leaders last year. His contract with the Bulls only runs until the summer of 2025, which is why Inter have high hopes of being able to lure the Salzburg native to Italy for a transfer fee of around ten million euros - that would be an absolute bargain! According to the Gazetta, the Bulls were still demanding €20 million in the summer of 2023; in the winter, when Napoli were interested in Solet, the demand was around €13 million.
Undisputed regular
Salzburg signed the former youth international from Olympique Lyon for €4.5 million in 2020. After initial difficulties, Solet developed into an undisputed regular. Is he about to leave the city of Mozart?
