Full throttle cure made the kilos tumble off the powerhouse
Seven goals in 13 games - Marchfeld's Nicolas Meister has been in top form of late. "I'm much fitter now than I was last year," beams the ex-SKN professional, whose team will take on leaders Rapid II in the Eastern League match on Friday.
Only 1.64 meters tall - and yet the defenders in the Eastern League are currently shying away from Marchfeld's powerhouse Nicolas Meister. The winger has played a big part in keeping Hannes Friesenbichler's side unbeaten in eight games: "If we hadn't messed up the first five rounds in the fall, we'd be right at the top now," winks the 24-year-old, who has scored seven times in the last 13 games.
"I'm much fitter now than I was last year," says the 24-year-old, who has lost a lot of weight. Meister laughs: "I simply went full throttle in preparation. It's really fun at the moment." Although he lost a target man in the center of attack. Attacker Luka Duvnjak recently left the club in tears due to homesickness. "I think that's a great pity. But we have a broad squad."
