Haring after knee surgery
“I should be fit for the summer preparations”
Scotland international Peter Haring has undergone knee surgery. The Siegendorf native is recovering in Edinburgh, where he is also undergoing rehab.
Peter Haring knows enough about forced breaks. In 2024 alone, he has not been able to play a game for his club Heart of Midlothian since 2 January. Long-term knee problems made playing unthinkable. Conservative methods did not work and surgery was supposed to provide a remedy. The Scotland legionnaire has now undergone this and is on the road to recovery - including rehab - in Edinburgh.
The crutches were quickly removed and normal walking is already possible.
Peter Haring über seinen Gesundheitszustand.
"It's getting better every day in terms of pain and swelling," the Siegendorf native tells "Krone". "The crutches were also quickly gone and normal walking is already possible." The exact downtime does not seem to be dateable. But Haring hopes that it will be quick. "He should be fully fit again by the start of preparations in the summer at the latest." The only question that remains is whether the 30-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of May, will still be playing for Hearts.
