After Stefan Horngacher, who has been head coach of the German male ski jumpers for five years, the female ski jumpers have now also appointed an Austrian as head coach. Former world-class athlete Heinz Kuttin, who most recently worked for the DSV in the Nordic combined, is now joining the specialist female jumpers. "I'm really looking forward to the new task," said the Carinthian.

A particular focus is on the national team. "We want to perform well here in the World Championships year and fight for the medals at the Nordic World Championships in Trondheim," Kuttin was quoted as saying in a DSV statement.

Pichler new alpine women's speed coach
The Germans have also brought in Austrian help in the alpine area: Karlheinz Pichler, who was the ÖSV women's speed coach until 2017 and then coached Tina Weirather in Liechtenstein, most recently worked for the giant slalom women in the ÖSV. The 54-year-old Tyrolean is now moving to the DSV, where he is responsible for the women's speed disciplines.
