The next injury
“Doesn’t look good”: Concerns about Bayern’s bad luck
Serge Gnabry continues to be dogged by bad luck. Bayern Munich's winger injured his thigh in the Champions League quarter-final first leg at FC Arsenal (2:2). He now faces another long forced break.
In the 70th minute, Serge Gnabry, who had scored Munich's equalizer in the first half, had to retire. He had to be treated on the pitch for pain in his hamstring. He then left the pitch limping.
"Unfortunately, Serge has injured his left side. It's another thigh injury. He's definitely out," Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel reported on Amazon Prime Video. He added at the press conference: "It doesn't look good." There is no concrete diagnosis yet.
Numerous setbacks
Gnabry had only recently returned from a muscle tendon injury in his left adductor. This forced him to take more than two months off. Prior to that, a broken forearm and an infection had already stopped him this season. Now the 28-year-old has suffered another serious setback.
