PSG coach Enrique teases – Xavi reacts coolly
Luis Enrique will be reunited with his former employer on Wednesday evening. Paris Saint-Germain will host FC Barcelona, where the Spaniard once sat on the bench. He took this as an opportunity to tease his successor Xavi, who in turn reacted calmly.
"Without a doubt me," Enrique replied at a press conference when asked which of the two embodied the Barca values better. "That's not an opinion. Does Xavi, who won the Champions League four times and the Spanish championship eight times as a Barca player and also won the title as coach in 2023, see it the same way? "That's Luis Enrique, I know him very well. I have a very good personal relationship with him and the utmost respect for him," the 44-year-old responded coolly. "For me, he is one of the best coaches in the world. He has a team that is made to win the Champions League."
However, Xavi does not want to help his compatriot. The Catalan is expecting a game at eye level and his players are motivated to the fingernails.
