Word has probably not yet spread everywhere that the police can now even confiscate speeders' cars for excessive speeding: Last weekend, officers in Lower Austria caught three speeders in the net.

The two drivers who were reported for speeding on the A5 near Mistelbach on Friday were doubly lucky. On the one hand, they did not cause an accident during their crazy driving, which would have been a certain death sentence at speeds above 200 km/h, and on the other hand, they were allowed to keep their cars. At least for the time being: because the drivers were not stopped by the police, they drove into the mobile radar.

Two speeders within a few minutes
At around 2.50 p.m., the first car with Viennese license plates sped past the speed camera in the direction of Brno - the measurement showed 211 km/h. But the reckless record did not last long, because just a few minutes later a Hungarian car drove past the radar box at a speed of 224. Both car owners were reported to the district authorities.

Through the 100 km/h zone at 170 km/h
A Czech driver who was caught on the S3 near Hollabrunn on Saturday has already lost his license. He was speeding through the 100 km/h zone at around 4 pm. Right past the Stockerau highway patrol officers and their laser gun. The 41-year-old was reported to the police and was not allowed to continue his journey.
