Car was parked across: accident caused chaos on the A13

On the Tyrolean Brenner highway, there was a car accident on Sunday on the Lueg Bridge of all places, which currently has to make do with fewer lanes due to its main inspection. This resulted in considerable traffic obstructions. 

A 63-year-old German woman was driving northbound on the Lueg Bridge at around 8.50 a.m. on Sunday when she lost control of her vehicle for as yet unexplained reasons. The car eventually came to a standstill across the carriageway, blocking the lane. 

Breakdown lane as a bypass
According to the police, this caused considerable traffic obstructions from 8.50 to 10.20 am. While trucks had to wait for the closure, cars were able to pass the accident site via the emergency lane. 

The 63-year-old woman involved in the accident was taken to hospital in Hall in Tirol for medical clarification.
