Accidents involving motorcycles resulted in two injuries
There were two accidents involving motorcycles in Tyrol on Saturday. In Kirchdorf (Kitzbühel district), a man crashed his bike into his wife, who was driving in front of him, after she had braked hard. Meanwhile, a motorcyclist's participation in a sporting event in Innsbruck proved fatal.
The first accident occurred shortly before 12.30 pm. A 45-year-old woman was riding her motor tricycle on the B 178 from Kirchdorf in the direction of St. Johann. Her husband was riding his motorcycle behind her. "Due to a pedestrian pushing his bike across the road, the driver had to brake sharply," said the police.
Her husband was unable to stop in time and crashed into the 45-year-old. The man fell in the crash. After first aid, he was taken to St. Johann Hospital.
Injured at a sporting event
The second accident occurred in the afternoon. At a sporting event in Innsbruck, a motorcyclist (43) was hit by two following bikers who were unable to stop after a fall. After first aid, the man was taken to hospital with injuries.
