Weapon and drugs discovered during youth checks
Following the recent establishment of a task force to combat juvenile delinquency (EJK), the Linz City Police Command has now carried out a special operation in this area. And the checks revealed a lot.
On Friday afternoon, police officers from the Linz City Police Department carried out a special operation to combat juvenile delinquency. The area around the main railway station, the Volksgarten and the Schillerpark were the main focus of the officers.
Eleven charges for drugs
During these two and a half hours, the police officers carried out 54 identity checks. Eleven people had to be charged under the Narcotics Act, including two minors and four young adults (18 to under 30 years old). In addition, two people had to be reported under the Youth Protection Act because they had consumed cigarettes.
Switchblade knife and heroin
A minor was provisionally banned from carrying weapons because he had a switchblade knife with him. The latter as well as small amounts of cannabis, heroin and Substitol were seized.
