First Vienna FC celebrated a resounding victory in the 22nd round of the 2nd division! The team from Döbling sent SKN St. Pölten home from the Hohe Warte with 7:3 on Friday. Player of the match was Kelvin Boateng with four goals. SV Ried won 3:1 at Kapfenberger SV, moving up to second place for the time being, 13 points behind leaders GAK, who will host DSV Leoben on Saturday. Horn and Liefering also celebrated victories.

In Vienna, St. Pölten were extremely desolate in the first half, conceding five goals. The big beneficiary was the effective Boateng, who netted four times in just over half an hour (6th, 19th, 31st, 38th). Christoph Monschein also got on the scoresheet in the meantime (26). In the second half, the Lower Austrians initially seemed to get a jolt, with Dario Tadic scoring to make it 1:5 (54').

However, Noah Steiner headed home from a corner (62') and Monschein again (68') brought the visitors' efforts to an abrupt halt. David Riegler (88) and Tadic again (89), who took the lead in the goalscoring charts from Leoben's Deni Alar (14) with his 15th goal of the season, completed the ten-goal spectacle. It is the highest-scoring game in this second division season so far. Vienna improved to eighth place in the table, while the "Wolves" remain fifth.

SV Ried wins at Kapfenberger SV
In Kapfenberg, the hosts, who had to replace goalkeeper Richard Strebinger with 19-year-old Marvin Wieser due to injury, took the lead through an own goal by Mark Große following a free-kick. Nik Marinsek (18) and David Bumberger (30) turned the game in Rieder's favor before the break. Philipp Pomer (86') increased the lead to 3:1 in the second half and the match was decided.

Horn and Liefering celebrate victories
Meanwhile, Horn defeated Lafnitz 2:1. Marco Hausjell (48') and Alexander Joppich from a free-kick (55') secured three points for the Waldviertler, the final goal by substitute Noah Lederer (73') ultimately came too late. Horn thus moved up to 6th place, while Lafnitz slipped back to 9th.

Liefering also won 2:1 at SV Stripfing, with Raphael Hofer (11th) and Gaoussou Diakite (73rd) putting the Salzburg side on the road to victory. Darijo Pecirep was only able to add the finishing touches (94').
