Retired in 2022
New turnaround: Former Horner assistant back
Nicole Carling has returned to the "bull stable". She worked as personal assistant to team boss Christian Horner until 2022 and then, surprisingly for many, withdrew. There was speculation that she could testify regarding the allegations made by her successor against the 50-year-old. This should now be off the table.
There has been much speculation recently about Carling's role in the Horner case. The former assistant retired from motorsport in 2022 to "fulfill her dream of writing in her own little house", as was reported at the time.
In the wake of the allegations made by her successor against the Briton, her departure was once again critically scrutinized. It was assumed that Carling could comment on the allegations against Horner and prepare a statement on her part.
Charges pending
Several media outlets tried to obtain a statement without success. During their research, however, they came across an interesting detail, as reported by the Daily Mail. Carling recently returned to Red Bull as "interim executive assistant". This has now been officially confirmed.
It is therefore very unlikely that she will make a statement against Horner. Meanwhile, her suspended successor is still working on a statement and would like to return to her job. An official complaint is in the pipeline.
