With their engagement posting, Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksandar Aamodt Kilde are not only causing a stir among sports fans, but also among their companions in the ski circus. A very special suggestion comes from US lady Breezy Johnson. With a twinkle in her eye, she hopes Kilde will change nations.
"So Aleksander Aamodt Kilde wants to compete for the USA?", writes Breezy Johnson under the post showing Mikaela Shiffrin with a ring around her finger. Lucas Braathen made his Hammer comeback official around a month ago. From the 2024/25 season, Braathen will no longer be competing for Norway, but for Brazil.
"I'm glad you're happy"
After getting engaged to "Mika", will Kilde now follow in his compatriot's footsteps? That's probably just Johnson's wishful thinking, as the American knows: "All joking aside, I love you both and I'm glad you're happy!"
The ski superstars, who have been a couple for over three years, are on cloud nine despite the major injury worries surrounding Kilde, whose sporting future remains unclear. Their love is soon to be cemented with a wedding.
