Flock of sheep chases young British woman down a hill
Sheep are not exactly considered dangerous predators - but an 18-year-old British girl panicked a little after being chased by a whole herd of the cloven-hoofed animals. Her companion filmed the amusing scene.
It was supposed to be an idyllic walk with her family, but for Chloe Jervis the outing in Edale suddenly took a dramatic turn. When two rams approach her on a hill, she picks up the pace. But eventually other animals took up the chase - visibly a little frightened, the British woman finally picked up speed.
Pursuit victim trembled with fear
But the flock of sheep also accelerated and chased the young woman down the slope. It was only afterwards that she was able to laugh about the incident. During the chase, however, she was "trembling" with fear. "I had been climbing a mountain all day," she told the Daily Mail, explaining that she was already exhausted when the herd chased after her. "I didn't think it could get any worse."
She now finds the incident "hilarious", she added. She just wonders why the sheep didn't attack her mother, who was behind her. "I must have been more appealing than my mother," Chloe summarized.
