7-point program to enable grid expansion

Austria wants to cover its entire electricity supply from renewable sources in just six years. The path to the energy transition must therefore be continued despite the election campaign - Johannes Zimmerberger, Managing Director of Linz Netz GmbH, called for this at an "energy policy background discussion".

The grid operators have formulated seven principles: Affordable energy, security of supply and climate protection are equally important. A legal framework for the rapid expansion of the grid is a wish, as are a fair tariff system and electricity tariffs as incentives for self-production and self-consumption. Consumers and energy communities should become active co-creators.

What else is on the wish list? 
The coordination of grid expansion plans in order to avoid duplication, as well as efficient storage and sector coupling. The customer/taxpayer will pay for this.
