After a truck accident, the A1 between Ybbs and Amstetten-Ost was closed for several hours from 1 pm. According to the ÖAMTC, the closure would "obviously last even longer". Because the truck was loaded with cucumbers, many of them spilled out onto the highway.

An articulated truck loaded with cucumbers overturned in an accident on the Westautobahn (A1) towards Salzburg near Neumarkt an der Ybbs (Melk district) on Tuesday and came to rest across all three lanes in the direction of travel. The result was a closure between Ybbs and Amstetten-Ost - and numerous cucumbers on the road.

At least two hours
A traffic jam stretched for miles. "The highway will remain closed for at least two hours," said an ÖAMTC spokesperson. At 4 p.m., however, there was still a traffic jam. They had no idea how much longer it would take, but "obviously longer than expected".

According to initial reports, no one was injured, the police said on request. The accident reportedly occurred at around 1 pm. There was initially no information on the cause.
