Baumgartner’s world record inspired Liefering

4:1 against the FAC! Liefering set an exclamation mark at home on Easter Sunday. The young bulls came back strong from the international break into the second division. Before the game, Rangnick's "co" Onur Cinel showed his boys a historic video.

In sporting terms, things are going like clockwork for Liefering in the second division. Even FAC, who were in second place before the 21st round, were no obstacle and were sent home with a 4:1 win on Easter Sunday. "You have to take your hat off to the young team," said coach Onur Cinel, who was impressed.

Especially because many players, including the coach himself, were traveling during the international break. Cinel was successful with the ÖFB team as Ralf Rangnick's "co". Christoph Baumgartner's world record goal after six seconds against Slovakia will be remembered. This served as inspiration for the Lieferinger: "We actually showed the kick-off from the national team today in preparation for the game - exemplary, because it shows a lot of courage."

Although it wasn't enough to set a new record, Soumaila Diabate's opening goal was scored quite soon (5th). The game continues away against Stripfing on Friday.
