New provider
Barrier-free parking at Tscheppaschlucht
The barrier-free system is designed to make parking easier for both visitors and the municipality.
Up to 50,000 visitors enjoy the Tscheppaschlucht natural jewel every year and many of them come by car. From this year, they will no longer have to wait for a barrier to allow them to drive in and out. "I am delighted that we can offer our visitors a user-friendly, modern, functioning parking system," explains Ferlach's mayor Ingo Appé.
Payment with cash, card, app
This works thanks to a cooperation with the provider "Peter Park". "We were already looking for a digital solution when the offer came along by chance. Maintenance was always required for the barrier and sometimes it broke down," explains city manager Robert Poscheschnig. "Visitors can now pay with cash, card and cell phone at the machine, or directly via the Parkster app."
Information and accommodating solutions
The car is photographed and registered upon entry. "We will publish flyers explaining everything. There are also goodwill solutions from the provider and the option to pay 24 hours later," Poscheschnig reassures with regard to negative examples from the past. So nothing stands in the way of a successful season. "Thanks to the mild winter, we will probably be able to start on time on May 1st. We're looking forward to getting started," emphasizes the city manager.
