A misunderstanding - and then there was a crash: a motorcyclist (36) was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Hall on Easter Saturday.

The local man (36) was riding his motorcycle westbound on the Innsbrucker Straße B171 near Hall at around 10.55 am. He later stated that a car was driving in front of him, which reduced its speed at house number 8. The motorcyclist was therefore of the opinion that the car wanted to turn right into Winterthurer-Straße, so he overtook it on the left at approx. 30-40 km/h against the no-passing zone there.

Collision in the middle of the road
At the same time, a 72-year-old local woman was driving her car in Winterthurer-Straße in the direction of the B171 and then wanted to turn left into it. As she had been given priority by a road user, she drove into the middle of the road. This is where the motorcyclist and the car finally collided. The 36-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries. There was considerable material damage to the motorcycle and car.
