Kiel win without Pichler, stay on course for promotion!

Holstein Kiel remain on course for promotion in the second German league! 

Without Austro striker Benedikt Pichler, who was missing due to a muscle strain, Kiel celebrated a 2-0 home win in the Baltic Sea derby against relegation-threatened Hansa Rostock on Saturday and moved to within two points of St. Pauli.

The league leaders do not have to face Paderborn until Sunday.

Düsseldorf wins at 1. FC Kaiserslautern
Fortuna Düsseldorf are also still in the race. With striker Marlon Mustapha (until 55) they won 3:1 at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and are six points behind Kiel in third place, which entitles them to the relegation play-offs. With a win in Fürth on Sunday, however, HSV can push Düsseldorf back into fourth place.
