Sinner outclasses Medvedev in Miami semi-final
South Tyrolean Jannik Sinner continued his winning streak against Daniil Medvedev and outclassed the Russian 6:1, 6:2 in the semi-finals of the ATP Masters tournament in Miami on Friday.
In his third Miami final after losing in 2021 and 2023, Sinner will face Alexander Zverev or Grigor Dimitrov on Sunday. With another win, his 22nd in the 23rd match of the year, he would move up one place past Carlos Alcaraz to second in the world rankings.
Sinner strung together his fifth win in Florida against the world number four Medvedev. The 22-year-old beat him three times in the final in the last six months, including at the Australian Open in January. Sinner lost his first six matches on the ATP Tour against Medvedev, but the tide has turned impressively since last October.
