Following the rejection of Xabi Alonso, who will remain at Bayer Leverkusen beyond the summer, Ralf Rangnick is increasingly coming under the spotlight at FC Bayern Munich. However, the ÖFB team boss is unimpressed by the Bayern speculation and prefers to focus on the topic of integration. 

Rangnick's contract with the ÖFB runs until at least the end of 2025, and the German said through a spokesperson that he does not comment on rumors as a matter of principle. Rangnick added that he is fully focused on his job as Austria's national team coach.

"We stand for integration"
The 65-year-old is currently focusing much more intensively on socio-political developments - fittingly, the national team presented a huge banner with the inscription "We stand for integration" immediately before Tuesday's 6-1 win over Turkey at the Happel Stadium.

The ÖFB said: "It is very important to us to make a clear commitment to integration and peaceful coexistence in turbulent times." Rangnick is personally very concerned about this issue. "Without players with a migration background, this team could not be as successful," emphasized the team boss.
