Masked and armed, two men stormed a tobacconist's in Vienna on Thursday afternoon, demanded cash and fled. A manhunt has so far been unsuccessful. 

The two masked perpetrators entered the tobacconist's in Brigittenau with a knife and a pistol and threatened the 43-year-old employee. After the two men had demanded the cash and taken it from the till, they fled down Denisgasse in the direction of Pappenheimgasse.

As the immediate manhunt was unsuccessful, the police are asking the public for information and describe the perpetrators as follows:

Description of the perpetrators
Perpetrator description 1: about 1.70 meters tall, between 20 and 25 years old, slim build, black clothing with black shoes, black cap and black gilet, taller, younger voice.

Description of offender 2: about 1.70 to 1.75 meters tall, about 20 to 25 years old, broad build, dressed in black, wearing a black cap, spoke German with an accent.

Amount of damage unknown
The amount of damage caused by the robbery is not yet known. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office is investigating at full speed. Video footage is currently being analyzed.
