The Easter trip south is likely to be a test of nerves for many drivers. There was already a traffic jam on the Tauernautobahn from Thursday afternoon. There is no improvement in sight.

The peak time loss from Salzburg to the south was already three hours later on Thursday. The A10 was once again the hotspot for traffic jams.

Coupled with the usual long waiting times due to the tunnel construction sites between Golling and Werfen, this resulted in a traffic jam 16 kilometers long at times. 

There is currently no improvement in sight.
