National volleyball teams know their qualifying opponents

Austria's national volleyball teams now know their opponents in the European Championship qualifiers for the 2026 tournaments. The women will face Greece and North Macedonia, the men Belgium and Azerbaijan. 

The seven group winners and the five best runners-up will qualify for the 2026 finals. The first of the four matches will take place on 17 or 18 August, with the qualifiers lasting a year in total.

In May and June, the ÖVV teams will also compete in the Golden and Silver Leagues at European level. In the Golden League, the women will face the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Estonia and Azerbaijan, with the top four advancing to the Final Four. The men will face Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Israel twice each in the Silver League, with the top two going through to the final.
