Automatically saved draft
Four young men from Germany were looking for adventure in the open ski area on the Pitztal Glacier in Tyrol on Monday. They wanted to cross a ridge at more than 3100 meters above sea level in their ski boots. In the process, a 24-year-old slipped and fell.
The accident happened around midday. The four Germans, aged between 23 and 25, wanted to climb over the ridge to ski down the other side in the open ski area. They took off their skis, left the piste and climbed over a ridge in their ski boots.
