The season is not long over for the Zell Polar Bears and the new one is already casting its shadow. The Pinzgau team is gearing up, helping itself to league rejects Lustenau.

Having only just digested the 4-0 series loss against the Wipptal Broncos, the Zell Polar Bears are already looking ahead again. For the coming season, the Pinzgau team is bringing plenty of second division experience on board.

Max Wilfan comes to the mountain town from league rejects Lustenau. The Carinthian-born forward has already played over 300 league games and wore the blue and yellow jersey for a play-off interlude in 2013. The winger finished last season as Vorarlberg's top scorer, recording 59 points (24 goals, 35 assists) from 37 games.

"After EHC Lustenau left the Alps Hockey League, it was a big shock at first, after all I was with EHC for 11 seasons, had extremely good and successful times and I will always be grateful to the club for that. At the same time, however, I knew that I had to find a new direction and it was clear to me relatively quickly after the end of the season that it could only be Zell am See. I am convinced of the club's development in recent years and its sporting goals. I also know Zell am See from before and know that it's an extremely great place to play ice hockey," says the new Ice Bear.
