Danksagmüller celebrates a successful end to the season
Ski cross racer Christoph Danksagmüller (SC Salzburg) delivered a good performance at the end of the season. On the Reiteralm in Styria, where he celebrated his World Cup debut this year, the man from Mondsee raced to fifth place and thus started his well-deserved vacation. Due to bad weather, the qualifying run was counted.
Christoph Danksagmüller celebrated his World Cup debut on the Reiteralm - and ended up in the net. The 21-year-old finished the European Cup season at the same venue on Thursday. As the heats were canceled due to the weather, the quali was scored. Good from the rookie's point of view. Because he crashed again the day before: "I had a pretty bad crash yesterday. I'm actually very glad that Thursday was nothing." He finished tenth in the overall standings. He is "very satisfied" with the season.
Danksagmüller finished fifth at the end of the season. Victory went to Alexis Jay (Fra) ahead of compatriot Eliott Piccard and Austrian Moritz Opetnik.
The World Cup final is currently taking place in Sweden. There, Adam Kappacher qualified for Friday's competition in Idre Fjäll in eighth place.
