Behind Donald Trump
Antonio Brown wants to become Vice President of the USA
Once again, Antonio Brown is making headlines outside of sport. In several X-Postings, the former NFL star expressed his interest in becoming Vice President of the United States behind Donald Trump.
Brown, who has already caused a number of scandals during and after his career, has once again maneuvered himself into the headlines of the US media. The former wide receiver published an edited photo on X (formerly Twitter) showing him together with Donald Trump, who wants to run for the Republicans in the 2024 presidential election. The 35-year-old wrote: "Trump what we doin". The subsequent hashtag "VP" in particular is causing confusion. Does Brown want to be vice president?
Another tweet underlining the US American's ambitions shows an election poster with Brown's initials under Trump's name.
Numerous scandals
Trump, who already held the office of president between 2017 and 2021, is considered the Republicans' top candidate. The 77-year-old is considered to be particularly polarizing - a characteristic he shares with Brown. While the receiver was still considered one of the best players in the league during his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he made increasingly negative headlines with the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Even after his retirement in Florida, Brown caused a number of scandals. For example, he allegedly terrorized his own family and sent naked pictures to Tom Brady's ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
