New president of Carinthian soccer has been elected!

The election is over! The new president was appointed at the general meeting of the Carinthian Football Association in Klagenfurt's Lakeside Park. And the decision was extremely close. . 

Interim president Martin Mutz (50) against challenger Manfred Mertel (69) was the name of the duel for the Carinthian KFV throne. 140 Carinthian and East Tyrolean club representatives (80.92 percent voter turnout) went to the ballot box in Klagenfurt's Lakeside Park.

At 9.35 pm it was decided: Martin Mutz remains the head of Carinthian soccer! The 50-year-old lawyer was elected with 73 votes, Mertel received 65. Two votes were invalid. This means that Mutz will remain in office for the next four years after his current eight-month interim term of office.
