Wreck in a meadow
Attentive driver discovers accident at night
It just wouldn't leave her alone: a driver (48) noticed flashing lights in a meadow in Taufkirchen an der Trattnach on Thursday night. She turned around, couldn't see anything, but then called the police from home. A patrol actually found a seriously injured driver who had been involved in an accident.
A 48-year-old woman from the district of Grieskirchen was driving her car along the B 137 behind a truck coming from Schärding towards Grieskirchen at around 8.40 p.m. on Wednesday. In the municipality of Taufkirchen, she noticed lights flickering briefly on the left in the meadow next to the main road in the dark.
No accident scene discovered in the dark
She turned around at the next junction and drove back to have a look, but was unable to find the scene of an accident due to the darkness. At home, she reported the accident to the police. A police patrol was able to find a 31-year-old female driver from the district of Grieskirchen, who was seriously injured, in a field about 40 meters from the B137 and immediately notified the emergency services and began first aid measures.
100 meters away from the B137
The vehicle involved in the accident was found in the meadow about 100 meters from the B137. The driver was first treated by the emergency doctor and then taken to hospital. It also turned out that the driver did not have a driving license, as this had been revoked.
