It's never happened before! FC Barcelona made Champions League history on Tuesday evening with their 3:1 victory in the round of 16 second leg against Napoli. Only 16-year-old Lamine Yamal and 17-year-old Pau Cubarsi were responsible for the goal.

Barcelona are the first team in the history of the "premier league" to field two players aged 17 or under in a Champions League knockout stage match: Lamine Yamal (16 years and 243 days) and Pau Cubarsi (17 years and 50 days).

And the two youngsters repaid coach Xavi's trust. Right from the start, Yamal created a lot of danger down the wing. Among other things, the youngster initiated the picture-book counter-attack that made it 2-0 to the Catalans.

Player of the match on debut
Cubarsi celebrated his Champions League debut in central defense - and it was one he will not forget in a hurry. The Spaniard won all his duels on the ground and in the air and repeatedly created danger in attack with his long balls. He was deservedly named "Player of the Match".
