Young man from Salzburg crashes his car into a gas station!
A spectacular accident happened in Bad Reichenhall on Monday evening: A young man from Salzburg crashed into a petrol station, taking the pump with him and leaving a field of devastation in his wake. Four young men were taken to hospital and extensive damage was caused.
At around 6.10 p.m., a 25-year-old man from Salzburg was driving a car with three other occupants on the B21 in Bad Reichenhall (Bavaria). He left the road at full speed at a petrol station opposite the thermal baths. He collided with a petrol pump and tore it away completely. He rammed a construction fence and a sign and even moved several large boundary stones with his car. Shortly afterwards, he was able to bring his vehicle to a halt at the fence of the neighboring spa nursery.
Four men aged 20, 23, 25 and 34 were in the car. They were taken by two ambulances to the Bad Reichenhall district clinic for further examination. None of the men are expected to have been injured.
The car sustained a total loss of 25,000 euros. The Bad Reichenhall volunteer fire department secured the danger zone with 20 firefighters and ensured that nothing ignited. However, the fuel pump had deactivated automatically.
