Another bomb threat against two Viennese schools

After a secondary school in Garsten (Upper Austria) had to be evacuated on Monday following a telephone threat and last week a pupil with a toy gun caused a large-scale operation on Linke Wienzeile, the police were again deployed to two school buildings on Tuesday.  

It was an email that caused quite a stir at two Viennese schools on Tuesday morning. The message stated that a bomb had been planted at the respective schools in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus and Leopoldstadt - one of which was an elementary school. The management of the educational institutions immediately contacted the police, who quickly arrived on the scene. 

"Take every threat seriously"
Parents were left standing in front of closed doors with their children, as the threat was likely to have been received before regular school operations began. "Of course, we take every threat seriously," confirmed police spokesperson Mattias Schuster. If necessary, the buildings were also searched, but nothing was found. 

Was the copycat perpetrator joking?
After a school in Garsten, Upper Austria, was evacuated on Monday after a similar threat, it can certainly be assumed that a copycat offender was playing an extremely macabre joke.
