"Can barely get out the door"
Christina Applegate lives “like hell”
"I live like I'm in hell". Christina Applegate's latest health update sounds terrible. The 52-year-old was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 and announced last year that she would have to quit her job. On the TV show "Good Morning America", she revealed: "I can barely get out the door. This interview is already hard for me, for my whole system."
The actress, who became known worldwide as Kelly Bundy in "A Terribly Nice Family", can at least count on her own family and friends in her daily struggle: "The support I get is wonderful. I'm so grateful for that."
"Had a kind of blackout"
In her first TV interview in three years, Applegate also spoke about her surprise appearance at the Emmys in January, when she received a standing ovation that lasted several minutes.
She can barely remember it herself: "I kind of blacked out. I don't even remember what I said or did. What I do remember is the feeling of being really loved. It was a wonderful thing."
No longer in front of the camera
In an interview with Vanity Fair in May 2023, Applegate announced the sad news that she would probably never be seen on screen again due to her autoimmune condition: "I don't think I'll be able to work in front of the camera again. But I will continue to do voiceover work. I need to support my family and keep my brain happy."
