Missed booking brought back unlucky striker

Reinhard Young was known as a "chance death" in the fall; the striker scored only three goals in 15 games in the second division. Admira let his loan expire in December. But he returned after just two and a half months. Because his home club Giant Brillars in Nigeria was sloppy.

"A mistake like that can only happen in Africa," Young's advisor Harrison Kennedy, himself a Liberian by birth, can now smile, "his home club didn't end the loan. When they realized this in February, the transfer window in Nigeria was already over." Calls to FIFA for help were ignored, even when Wels wanted to get the unlucky player. Or LASK, for whom Young even scored four times in a test.

Only Admira were successful with FIFA - because they were the last club that Young officially played for. And no longer loaned out the 23-year-old, but bought him outright. Which should also have a positive effect on the goal tally. "Reini put too much pressure on himself in the fall," says Kennedy, "now he has a long-term contract, so he's more relaxed - the button will open!"
