Loss at the betting office: unlucky man demolishes traffic lights
The frustration after a visit to the betting office was obviously great: so great that a 33-year-old local man gave free rein to his aggression on Saturday evening in Innsbruck. After the suspect demolished traffic lights, he was provisionally arrested by the police.
At around 6 p.m., passers-by had observed an initially unknown vandal wildly smashing two traffic lights in Innsbruck's Schützenstraße. The witnesses immediately alerted the police. In the course of a manhunt, a patrol was finally able to quickly track down the suspect and make a provisional arrest.
He stated that he had committed the damage to property out of frustration over a gambling loss in a betting shop.
