Better than Polster and Co.: Kane breaks records!

Impressive! Harry Kane broke several records in Bayern Munich's 8:1 gala against Mainz on Saturday.

It was Kane's eighth Bundesliga match in which the Englishman scored at least two goals. A new record, as the statistics service provider "Opta" reported on social media.

Previously, Uwe Seeler and Friedhelm Konietzka (in the 1963/64 season) and ÖFB legend Toni Polster (1993/94) led the way with seven "multiple packs".

But that's not all! The Bayern star is the first player to score four trebles in his debut season in the Bundesliga. Kane has now scored 30 goals in 25 Bundesliga games. Only once before has a player scored so many goals in his first Bundesliga season. Uwe Seeler also scored 30 goals in 1963/64.

"I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him"
 Robert Lewandowski holds the Bundesliga record for the most goals in a season. In 2020/21, the Pole, who is now under contract at FC Barcelona, scored an incredible 41 goals. Kane has nine games left to increase his goal tally. Will he also break "Lewa's" record? "I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him," says Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer.
