Disco “Mandy” celebrates his 80th birthday as an eternally young legend
Pielachtal scene landlord Manfred "Mandy" Reisinger celebrated his retirement with melancholy. The "padrone with the guitar" surprised everyone with many a cult hit.
Whole generations - including the local journalist scene - once made a pilgrimage to Manfred Reisinger's inn on Obergrafendorf's main square. And they still do today - because "Mandy's" daughter Renate Grünberger continues to provide "Saturday Night Fever" in the "Harmony" as she did in the sixties, seventies, eighties and right up to the present day.
"My life's work and the pizzeria are in the best hands with Renate," says "Mandy", a true gastro-sir, quietly as he furtively wipes a tear from his eye. His 80th birthday - a celebration of friends and gratitude.
Greetings to regular guests
The "padrone with the guitar" surprised the crowd of well-wishers with many a cult hit. "Every dream has an end, but our love doesn't," the disco grandpa sang, revealing his life motto. Of course, "Mandy" has not yet retired completely. Because he strides gracefully through the restaurant, especially on Sunday evenings, to greet regulars past and present.
