Stefan Kraft leads – first pursuer “crashes”

Very strong! Stefan Kraft showed nerves of steel at the ski jumping competition in Oslo on Saturday and delivered top jumps in changeable conditions. While the ÖSV eagle triumphed, Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi, Kraft's first pursuer in the overall World Cup, missed the final of the top 30.

Kraft, who celebrated his 41st overall World Cup victory and eleventh this season alone, landed at 132 and 133 meters in difficult conditions and won 8.8 points ahead of Norway's Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and 12.5 ahead of Lahti winner Jan Hörl from Salzburg. Kraft thus extended his lead in the overall World Cup to 296 points over the Tour winner Ryoyu Kobayashi, who had no points on Saturday.

Kraft and Hörl were not the only ones to perform strongly. Michael Hayböck finished fourth. Daniel Huber finished the competition in sixth place. In the "Raw-Air" overall standings, Huber, who won the qualification on Friday, leads ahead of Kraft.

Daniel Tschofenig did not make it into the second round, finishing 31st after a 119 m jump, just 0.1 points short of the final. He was one of several victims in a "wind lottery", which caused displeasure among some jumpers, including Manuel Fettner.
