Carinthians in baby luck
Three wins in a row! Ferlach challenges leaders Schwaz
Ferlach's strengthened handball team have to face leaders Schwaz this Saturday (18). They have recently won three games in a row. Together with Krems, they are the best team this spring.A Carinthian with a special "lucky charm" will be playing for the Tyroleans on Saturday.
"We don't need to be afraid of anyone anymore," Ferlach boss Walter Perkounig said after the sensational home win over Krösus Hard last week. That's the motto again for today's game in Schwaz. With three wins in a row under their belt, they travel to the leaders with a broad chest - and Carinthian director Sebastian Spendier will be back.
"Lucky charm" for Carinthians at Schwaz
Last week, the 27-year-old St. Veiter missed out on his team's success in Bärnbach for happy reasons. He became a dad for the first time - his Chiara gave him little Benjamin, who is supposed to bring good luck today.
We are very happy. Everyone is healthy!
Sebastian SPENDIER, Schwaz-Regisseur
"Everyone's healthy, we're really happy," said a beaming Spendier, who watched Ferlach's win against Hard in the livestream. "A well-deserved win. They're playing really well at the moment, it's going to be tough," says Sebastian, who played together with Ferlach's Leander Krobath in the Carinthian youth team.
Krobath recently impressed offensively against Hard after Kocbek's absence (who will play again on Saturday!), scoring five goals. "He can have such great moments more often. He's great at covering - we know that," says Perkounig.
