Föttinger's "Dernière"
Two premieres and a visit from a four-legged friend
Josefstadt director Herbert Föttinger experienced an emotional premiere of "Leben und Sterben in Wien". Despite having two years left in his tenure as principal, he directed the production for the last time in order to create space for young talent. The premiere of "Living and Dying in Vienna" was emotional for Josefstadt director Herbert Föttinger. He was directing for the last time, although he will remain the principal for another two years. Why? "Because I want to give the directors who have accompanied me so far a place and space in the last two years of my time as director," he told Premiere 1.
The second was the first time that two "Tatort" pathologists (Robert Bartl and Günther Franzmeier) were on stage at the same time. And the third? This one is very special, because Föttinger's cute four-legged friend "Bacio" was also there. All in all, a really well-rounded evening!
